9ct white gold ring with three Russian alexandrites totalling 0.29cts
This simple ring holds three beautiful and unusual brilliant cut alexandrites from the Russian Urals. The central gemstone has been grain set into a square shape and this is flanked by the slightly smaller 3mm invisibly set side alexadrites which are slightly deeper in colour. Alexandrites are amazing stones some of which exhibit a natural colour change. These are such stones - in daylight the central stone is a beautiful deep grass green and the side stones are forest green. In electric light, however, the central stone is a soft gentle smoky dusk colour and the side stones are a soft smoky violet. This colour change makes the ring even more versatile. The settings all feel flush to the touch with nothing to catch which makes it a practical ring too.
