This handmade 9ct white gold engagement ring has a classical design with a modern twist. The fresh, cornflower blue 0.61ct sapphire is the centrepiece of the ring, chosen for its deep colour to offset the warm tones of the white gold band. Sapphires are the toughest of the coloured gemstones, making them a great choice for an engagement ring because of their durability. Six smaller brilliant cut H SI1 diamonds, totalling 0.10ct, have also been set in channels down the shoulders of the ring for a modern touch and to draw the eye towards the central sapphire.
