18 carat white gold and 0.67ct red spinel engagement ring

Sean contacted us to talk about an engagement ring for Nadia that would incorporate a rich red stone as this is her favourite colour, and with some Celtic elements to reflect his Scottish roots. Like most people, he had initially thought of a ruby when he thought of a red stone, but when he saw the fire in this stunning spinel he knew he had found the right centrepiece. The brilliant cut red spinel is set in four claws to give it an open feel, and a delicately hand-pierced trinity knot is overlaid onto the band each side to hug the stone. The straight sided, tapering band will fit comfortably next to an unshaped wedding ring later on, and means the ring has a substantial look without feeling too chunky on the hand.
