Louise's iris spinel and palladium engagement ring
Harry knew that Louise had spotted a grey spinel in one of our rings and had fallen in love with the idea of something equally subtle for her own engagement ring. They are both geologists, so it made sense to go for something a little unusual in terms of stone. When he came to visit us I showed him this gorgeous iris spinel and he knew he'd found the right stone. We set it in a simple palladium ring with diamonds either side to highlight the colour of the spinel as well as to add a bit of extra sparkle. The tapering band flicks up and tapers towards the open four claw setting, drawing the eye in.
