Halo style engagement rings are long revered for their timeless beauty. For a more traditional look, you could choose a round or oval cut in the centre, often a sapphire or diamond, surrounded by claw set diamonds.

Essentially, a halo style frames and enhances your central gemstone. And the beauty of bespoke means we can modernise this icon to make it uniquely yours. While we love a traditional halo, the possibilities are endless. Your halo doesn’t have to be limited to sapphires and diamonds, or even a single halo.

For a more contemporary look we recommend unusual gemstones, like tourmaline or alexandrite, in more angular cuts. A particular favourite for our designers to demonstrate creativity and individuality is a double halo. No matter the central stone, each halo frame can have its own personality with different settings.

Consider a split halo, which is like framing a trilogy of gemstones. For example, you could feature a larger central gemstone flanked by smaller gemstones, completed with a row of smaller diamonds above and below. This creates an Art Deco-Halo hybrid, where emerald or baguette cut gemstones are often chosen for the centre.

When choosing this style, it’s important to consider how your wedding ring will sit alongside your engagement ring. Our team will ensure your design is both stunning and practical, offering a range of solutions. This could be with a fitted wedding ring or creating an undercut in the engagement ring setting for a seamless pairing.
