Platinum ring with rare colour change heart shaped sapphire and diamonds.
This stunning central heart shaped stone is very unusual - it weighs 2.30cts and is a natural colour change sapphire. This means that in electric light the stone is an intense deep purple and in daylight is is a beautiful strong deep blue. The colour change is very clear and really adds an extra dimension to this beautiful engagement ring and both colours are deep and dark in hue. The deep tones mean that despite the heart shape, this ring doesn't look overly girlie but has a more sophisticated feel. This has been set in platinum with 2.5mm H SI brilliant cut white diamonds each side to add a little sparkle and this is followed by a pair of lovely pale lilac sapphires - one each side to finish off the stone set area. These shoulder stones are simply invisibly set into the solid platinum band. The band of the ring is about 3.75mm wide at the widest point and this width tapers gently towards the back making this ring very comfortable to wear.
