Kay's colour change alexandrite and diamond engagement ring
Kay and Alex were fascinated with the science and magic of colour change gemstones and they had their hearts set on alexandrite. They hoped to commission a delicate and fluid engagement ring design with the perfect colour change stone celebrated in the middle. Ethics were also a really important part of the design process for the couple and after exploring all the options Kay chose a laboratory-grown diamond to complement this beautiful Brazilian colour-change alexandrite. The colour-change turns this stone from a deep wine through to violet and into vivid green meaning the ring constantly transforms. The fluidity of the band mirrors this flow between the colours with sweeping settings creating drama whilst the whole design remains delicate in its form.
