Emma's mixed metal and amber engagement ring
After looking at several different types of gemstones Emma and Richard both fell in love with the beautiful natural inclusions within this cabochon cut amber. Emma loved the ethics behind Fairtrade gold and the amber has been set within 9 carat white gold as the warm natural hues of the metal complement the orange tones of the amber. The pink colouring of 9 carat rose gold suited Emma’s complexion, so the split band has been crafted from this metal. To further enhance the contrast between the materials, the band has been satinised and the setting has been polished, whilst the‘ring and dot’ engraving on both shoulders is inspired by the detailing often found on Saxon jewellery which is a nod to Emma's heritage.
