Celia's sapphire and diamond cluster engagement ring
Celia’s birthstone is sapphire and she particularly likes purple so these were the perfect starting points for her bespoke engagement ring. When we initially drew up some ideas she decided on a central purple sapphire with a halo of diamonds around it, set in such a way that a flat wedding ring will fit next to it. Celia thought that she might want to use her grandmother’s yellow gold in her wedding ring so 9 carat yellow gold has been incorporated into her engagement ring around the central stone. We sourced a selection of sapphires for Celia to choose from and she surprised herself by falling in love with this emerald cut purple sapphire - she just loved its character. The stone is surrounded by a single border of eighteen thread and grain set round brilliant cut diamonds. The mix of metals and gemstones creates a striking design.
