Emily's palladium and purple sapphire engagement ring

James and Emily have been together 8 years and James wanted to mark the occasion by proposing to Emily with a bespoke ring that captured her unique and understated style. James found that a lot of rings he had seen were all about the central stone and he wanted a design that would draw the eye around the whole design. James and Emily had a soft toy from a treasured trip to Japan and James brought it along to the design consultation as it was Emily's favourite shade of purple. James loved the idea of having three gemstones in a tension style twist and wanted a graduation between the central sapphire and the diamonds set in the shoulders with two lovely lilac sapphires. James knew he wanted a white metal and after discussing the properties and looking at the different metals, James thought palladium would suit the design and Emily’s lifestyle perfectly.
