Lara's eternity ring is a celebration of their family
Richard and Lara visited the studio in advance of their new baby arriving, to design a simple ring that Lara could wear every day that incorporated their family's birthstones. Lara's birthstone is emerald which is very fragile and therefore wouldn't be the best to use in this design due to the hands on duty Lara had ahead. We decided that a heat treated green diamond would be a good alternative as it is so much harder and it sparkles so beautifully too! Richard's birthstone is tourmaline so was perfectly in keeping with the green theme. We originally thought the new baby would arrive in November and would therefore have a citrine birthstone but he arrived in October so after a quick call from Richard we changed the stone to a pink diamond instead, representative of pink tourmaline. The resulting ring is sparkly, but easy to wear even with a small child to look after.
