Hester's Fantasy Gaming Inspired Yellow Gold and Vibrant Gemstone Ring
Hester's big birthday ring is made all the more special as it takes inspiration from her partner Dave's designs, created for a fantasy game. The asymmetric, 9ct yellow gold dress ring is full of shapes and colour to represent the elven, magical worlds he depicts. To draw upon the theme, nature details are incorporated through the gemstones and settings- a pear cut green tsavorite in an all-around setting, and grain-set brilliant round cut tourmalines, tsavorites and garnets are held in leaf-like shapes. As a way to make use of the negative space, and add depth to the piece, Dave opted for a cut out section of the central leaf. To complete the organic movement, the polished band curls delicately either side, around the gemstones. The contrast between the vibrant gemstones and yellow gold makes for an eye-catching ring, that is also full of sentiment.
