Fiona's stunning sapphire and diamond trilogy engagement ring
Tim and Fiona came to the Cambridge studio to discuss designing a unique engagement ring using the stones from Tim's grandmothers ring. The central sapphire was a little worn as it was over 100 years old, so we repolished the stone to give it a new sparkle. Once cut the central 5.1x4.8mm 0.67ct oval cut blue sapphire has been set into a four claw palladium setting. On each side we have set Tim and Fiona's 3.5mm brilliant cut white diamonds into a three claw setting. The delicate 2mm wide palladium band tapers towards the central stone and has been given a highly polished finish.
