Millie's Fairtrade 9 carat rose gold and sapphire pendant
Jane and Gary bought a beautiful selection of sapphires from Sri Lanka and wanted to use three of them in a bespoke pendant for their daughter Millie. After trying a few different stone arrangements we decided on a drop design with the round blue sapphire below the fixed bale, followed by the trillion cut peach sapphire coming to a point, meeting the point of the beautiful pear shaped blue sapphire. The colour of the Fairtrade 9 carat rose gold ties in perfectly with the peach colour trillion sapphire and draws the eye towards the centre of the pendant. As the pendant is being worn on a long chain the stones are held in rub over settings, not only for their modern and smooth silhouette but for also protection against catching on scarves or clothes.
