Gemma's eye-catching fitted engagement and wedding ring set
Gemma and David visited me at our Hertfordshire studio with a selection of their own inherited jewellery which they wanted to incorporate into Gemma's engagement ring and both of their wedding rings. South Africa has a special significance for them both as Gemma is from there and spends a lot of time in the country, also this is where David proposed - so using the marquise shape green and blue gemstones in the engagement ring and the diamonds in her wedding ring placed a significant feature in the design. Gemma chose the newly sourced brilliant cut 3.5mm 0.17ct H SI diamond as the central stone in an all around setting with the shoulders hand crafted to symmetrically twist making and cupping her own green and blue gemstones. Both the engagement and wedding ring is made from palladium and to be fitted in a open cage style making a eye-catching engagement and wedding ring set. Pave set along the fitting shoulders of the wedding ring are six of Gemma's own brilliant cut diamonds graduating in sizes 1.75mm, 1.5mm and 1.2mm. Both wedding and engagement rings are approximately 3mm with a gentle curve profile and polished finish.
