Shelah's handmade dress ring with an unusual padparascha stone

Peter and Shelah came into our Halls Green studio and had a chat about commissioning a beautiful dress ring with Kerrie-Ann McNaughton. We sourced in a lot of different coloured stones for Peter and Shelah to have a look at. They chose this absolutely amazing 7.5mm x 6.9mm 2.61ct radiant cut central padparascha sapphire set in a four claw setting. Padparadscha sapphires are a very rare sapphire, and its name comes from the Sinhalese word for lotus blossom. This stunning stone shows a beautiful display of both pink and orange. To compliment the shape and beautiful colour of the stone Peter and Shelah chose an 18ct yellow gold band with an 18ct rose gold twist overlay.
