Laurie's diamond engagement ring with a hint of purple
Robert proposed to Laurie with a proposal in a box with sketches of engagement rings as a surprise. After Laurie said yes they both visited me at our Halls Green studio to talk through more design ideas. Laurie chose a platinum ring with a central 3.5mm 0.27ct H SI princess cut diamond set in an all around setting. The width of the band at the front of the ring is 4mm and gradually tapers to 3mm. The profile is a reverse-d for a comfortable feel and has a polished finish. Laurie loved purple and chose two 1.5mm brilliant cut sapphires to be square grain set on compass points on either shoulder.
