Katharina's comet inspired peridot engagement ring
John and Katharina are both scientists and wanted to incorporate a comet inspiration into her engagement ring. The platinum comet shaped mount holds a brilliant cut 3mm Peridot in an invisible setting. The 2.5mm wide 18ct white gold band with no rhodium gives a contrasting look against the blue-ish white platinum mount. I designed along one shoulder of the engagement ring to have hand engraved comet tails to create the space inspired engagement ring. The profile of the band is D-shape and has a polished finish.
