Ian and Ruth's bespoke charcoal diamond engagement ring.
Ruth wanted a low key and unusual engagement ring and she loved cabochon cut stones, but she also liked the idea of having a diamond... so this unusual stone was the perfect answer! It is a 5mm (0.65ct) charcoal coloured diamond which has been facetted in a rose cut, adding subtle sparkle to an otherwise almost opaque stone. We have set it into a simple 9ct white gold setting, and overlaid this on a straight band so that a plain wedding ring will sit comfortably next to it in the future.
