Claire's diamond engagement ring with sapphires and topaz
Toby and Claire came in to discuss ideas for Claire's engagement ring. They wanted an all around setting around an oval cut diamond with blue topaz and white sapphire stones on the shoulders. The ring has been crafted from palladium which is a lovely crisp white colour which works beautifully with the white and blue stones. The band is 4mm wide at the front and tapers to 3mm at the back for comfort; it has a D-shaped profile which deepens a little towards the front. The focus of Claire's engagement ring is the central 6.31x4.36mm 0.51ct oval cut diamond which is enhanced by the channel set two deep London blue topazes, two Swiss blue topazes, and two white sapphires (each 2mm brilliant cut) totaling 0.24cts. They lived in Australia for a few years and love scuba diving so the colours of the ocean is a key part of their ring's design.
