Recycled 18 carat white gold and 0.10ct diamond engagement ring
The front section of this delicate and feminine engagement ring has been made from recycled leaf shaped overlays which were rescued from an antique pendant that Harriet found at auction. These leafy sections, as well as the nine diamonds that are set in to them, were selected from the many parts of the diamond pendant. Rather than melting down the metal and changing the piece completely, we were inspired by the original pendant and chose to revive the character of the original historic piece by keeping them in the same form, but changing the layout and context completely and bringing the form up to date. The leaves and the band are all made from 18 carat white gold which has a polished and rhodium finish giving it a bright white appearance which enhances the subtle sparkle of the ~ 1-1.4mm diamonds which are ~ H-I and ~ SI-PK. Due to the detail being overlaid, this engagement ring can be worn alongside a straight unshaped wedding ring. The band is 2mm wide and has a gently curved profile which echoes the flowing shapes of the overlaid detail.
