Zoe wanted a wedding ring that reflected her love of the countryside
John had previously commisioned Zoe's beautiful engagement ring with us, and now in the need for wedding rings Zoe wanted us to create a design the contained features which related to her love of the conutry side and this feminine design was the result. The 9ct white gold band measures approx 3mm wide and has a reverse d shape profile. At the centre front of the ring a 1.5mm brilliant cut heat-treated forest green diamond has been invisible set.Around which a delicate leaf vine design has been hand engraved. To ensure Zoe's wedding ring matched her existing ring the wedding ring has been rhodium plated and polished to a high shine. John wished for his ring to have contrasting finishes and opted for a 7mm wide palladium band with a central engraved line seperating polished and tubstall finished sections. Diamonds like this get their beautiful colours when they are heated at very high temperatures and pressures to achieve this permanent colour change. Natural occurring diamonds of this colour are very rare and cost many thousands of pounds and so this treatment process brings these coloured diamonds within reach. This also means that the ring must not be heated up to very high temperatures (eg by a jeweller during resizing of the ring) so special care needs to be taken when resizing this ring in the future and the stone must be carefully removed and re-set during any future resizing work.
