James and Claire's Mountain inspired platinum engagement ring
James is from Swansea and Claire grew up in Scotland so James like to say they met where the sea meets the mountains. Both love the outdoors, sea, mountains and the countryside, so with this all in mind James thought mountains seemed the perfect inspiration for Claire's surprise engagement ring. The focal point of the design is the stunning 5mm (0.21ct) trilliant cut H SI diamond which is held in a three claw setting allowing a lot of the stone to be seen from the sides and show off its shape. The 3mm wide band again accentuates the shape of the diamond by splitting either side of it to create little open V shapes, which makes the ring feel delicate even with a total width of 5.8mm from tip of stone to base.
