Alteration to customer's 18ct yellow gold brilliant cut 0.35ct diamond engagament ring.
Angela had a ring made while on holiday and now wanted to change it to something more contemporary. The original 18ct yellow gold shank has been split to create a smooth modern frame in which to set her 4.5mm brilliant cut diamond. The diamond has been set in an end only setting to create the look of a tension setting. The end setting looks simple but also keeps the stone a lot more secure than an actual tension setting.
