Bepoke platinum engagement ring with natural and heat-treated coloured and white diamonds.
This beautiful engagement ring reflects the colours of George and Cassandra's eyes as well as George's outdoor proposal. This bespoke platinum and 9ct rose gold engagement ring features a 5.63x4.32mm emerald cut F VS1 diamond in the centre and 2mm brilliant cut natural and heat-treated coloured diamonds pave set onto the shoulders (2 x 2mm natural cognac coloured diamonds, 2 x 2mm heat-treated apple green diamonds and 2 x 2mm heat-treated sky blue diamonds). The emerald cut diamond in the centre is set in a 9ct rose gold end-only setting, bringing a lovely warmth to the design. Heat-treated coloured diamonds get their beautiful and permanent colour change using a special process of high temperatures and pressures or sometimes ion infusion. Natural occurring diamonds of these colours are very rare and cost huge sums of money and so this treatment process brings these stunning coloured diamonds within reach. This also means that the ring must not be heated up to very high temperatures (eg by a jeweller during resizing of the ring) so the stones would need to be carefully removed and reset during any future resizing work.
