18ct white gold watermelon tourmaline and sapphire engagement ring

This natural 0.86cts watermellon tourmaline is a soft pale green at one end and a soft pink at the other. It has been set off to its best advantage in this unusual engagement ring which is symmetrical in form but asymmetrical in colour. It has been claw set across the finger and then a small green tourmaline and pink sapphire has been grain set into square shapes on the shoulders. The contrasting colours have been alternated. The 18ct whtie gold band is about 4.5mm wide at the front and about 2.5mm wide at the back and has not been rhodium finished so that the as the soft white of the uncoated alloy works beautifully with the gentle colour palette of these gemstones. This engagement ring will sit next to a simple unshaped wedding ring perfectly and would also look great with an eternity ring alternating green tourmalines and pink sapphires.
