9ct yellow gold and opal dress rings

Ann and Paul inherited a lovely cluster style ring set with 11 approx. 6x4mm oval cabochon opals, which Ann didn''t wear, so they wanted to create two new unique but complimentary rings for their daughters incorporating some of the stones. Philippa''s ring is made up to three 1.5mm wide bars on which three all around set opals are set in a diagonal formation. Although the ring is wide because the finger can be seen between each band it stops the ring looking overly chunky. The shank metal from the original opal ring has been used to make the three settings for sentimental value. Joanne''s ring was made more symmetrical to suite her style, with a central vertical opal and two horizontally flanking opals set within a split wish bone shape shank. The shank metal from the original opal ring has been used to make the three settings again for the sentimental value.
