0.35cts rose cut champagne diamond platinum and gold ring

This 0.35cts diamond is naturally this lovely champagne colour. Is is a very unusual cut - a modern reworking of the Victorian rose cut. The natural diamond measures about 5.2x3.6mm. Harriet decided to set this beaituful and unusual stone in a rich 18ct yellow gold setting with open sides to allow the maximum light into the diamond. The setting holds the stones on each with a slim lip of gold. In keeping with the historic influence of the stone cut, the band has some traditional hand engraved leaf shapes around it which catch the light and also echo the facets on the rose cut which has a chequerboard effect across the top. The 2mm wide delicate looking band is made from platinum to give a good contrast in colour and to accentuate the champagne colour of the diamond. The ring overall has a delicate appearance - still modern in some ways but with clear traditional and historic influences.
