David's Einstein Tiling Pattern Wedding Ring

David loves fractal patterns and particularly ones that occur in nature, he decided to use an Einstein tiling pattern. This design features recess section's of tiles to add incredible dimension and is complete with a contrasting satin finish. To match partner Becky's ring, he has a personal engraving and is also made in 9ct white gold.

David Tells His Story

I always knew I wanted my ring to have a mathematical design, but it was a lucky coincidence that a new aperiodic tiling was discovered around the time I proposed to Becky. This tessellation fills and infinite area with a single 13-sided shape and its mirror image without any gaps of overlaps, but it does so without ever repeating itself. This felt like the perfect theme for a wedding ring, so mine features a slice of this tiling in a way which mirrored the leafy pattern on Becky's ring.

“I'm so happy with how the ring came out and love that our rings are so personal to us.”
