Julia's 18ct White Gold Sapphire and Diamond Trilogy Engagement Ring
Julia and Thomas came in to our Cambridge studio to remake an inherited sapphire and diamond ring. Julia loved the original ring's classical and vintage feel but after many years of wear, the ring had become too delicate. The stones were unset and the 18ct white gold re-used in the new design that took inspiration from the original ring, while making it safe to wear as an everyday ring. The central diamond is set in a six claw setting and the pair of royal blue sapphires are set in complementary claw settings. The band is still delicate at 2.5mm wide, with a long taper to the stones at the front and a split detail form the side. The ring is finished with rhodium plating and a polished finish for that extra sparkly touch!
