Leo's 18ct Yellow Gold Wedding Band with Mixed Finishes
Leo previously came to us to design an engagement ring for his partner Karen which symbolized a change of paths and their new lives together. They returned to us to create their wedding bands to carry this symbolism through in their design. Leo wanted his wedding band to show the journey in his life that has led him to meeting Karen and this new chapter in their lives. We achieved this by giving the ring a mix of finishes that transitions from rough to smooth around the band. The 6mm wide wedding band has a courting profile with a satinised roman finish at the back of the ring, this transitions through to a lighter hammer on the sides and a smooth highly polished finish on top. Leo chose 18 carat yellow gold for his wedding band which complements Karen's rings beautifully.
