Pair of commissioned wedding rings
Gemma wanted a fairly simple ring that swept around the unusual engagement ring that was also bought from us. The depth and the profile were matched to the original ring, and it gently widens and narrows to echo the shapes incorporated into the twist design. It is made in rhodium plated 18ct white gold. Owain wanted a ring that was inspired by Gemma's ring, but in a slightly abstracted way. The polished section of his ring reflects the twist design and the 2mm brilliant cut lilac sapphire is set in an open channel to introduce as much light as possible into the stone. This also gives the same inpression of space around the stone that comes from the engagement ring. Engraved lines define the edges of the polished section; rest of the ring has been Tunstall finished. It is 6mm wide and has a flat profile with gently rounded inside edges.
