Caroline's adaptation of her diamond engagement ring
Caroline brought a very sad-looking engagement ring to us that needed quite a lot of TLC, and suggested that rather than fixing it it would be better to start again. She also had a pair of baguette diamonds that belonged to her mother and wanted to incorporate these into the new design, perhaps giving the ring an Art Deco feel. We set the round diamond into four claws to make the stone look more square, and set the baguette diamonds vertically either side. The tiny diamonds that were in the side of the setting were pave set into rectangular shapes either side of this, seeming to fill the space rather than looking like individual small round stones. The new ring has been designed to fit alongside Caroline's wedding ring, keeping the diamonds much more secure than they ever were before and ensuring that she has a ring that she can really enjoy wearing.
