Alexandra's diamond and London blue topaz engagement ring
Alex had dropped hints to Matt that she liked the idea of a pear cut diamond in her engagement ring and that she was rather drawn to yellow gold, which gave us a really good starting point! We sketched a few designs, including this pretty split band which will work next to a straight wedding ring later. The topaz have been set into the split each side of the diamond, looking as if they are held in by magic. The simple lines and low setting means that the ring is practical to wear, but still interesting and modern in style.
