Brianna's origami inspired diamond and purple sapphire engagement ring

Tim proposed to Brianna with our Proposal in a Box service as he knew that she would want to be involved in the design process. We then chatted over Skype to finalise details, which included giving the initial design a subtly more geometric feel so that it looks like it is made from folded paper... when the couple were on their first date they went to a Japanese restaurant and Brianna spent a lot of the evening teaching Tim the art of origami, and they felt that this would commemorate that first evening together. The central diamond is set in an end only setting which is shaped from the side like one side is folded over the other, and the elongated kite shapes either side add to that feel. Brianna's favourite colour is purple, so we chose these pretty little purple sapphires to set into the kite shapes to add a flash of colour.
