Felicity's striking bubble inspired blue gemstone dress ring
Felicity and Nigel wanted to design a dress ring to represent their baby boy to be. Felicity loved the idea of the ring being playful and exciting- just like her new baby- and was drawn towards bubble our previous bubble inspired designs. Their son was due in March, so would have aquamarine as a birthstone, it therefore seemed fitting to incorporate the gemstone into the design. Felicity wanted the gemstones to have a tonal difference so she chose mid blue cushion cut sapphire and a round mint green tourmaline to go alongside the aquamarines. The ring has been made from Fairtrade 9 carat white gold with the addition of Fairtrade 9 carat yellow gold detailing at the front. The gemstones have been set at different heights to add to the irregularity of the design and this continues around the whole of the band.
