Carolyn's palladium eternity ring with family birthstones

Matthew wanted to surprise Carolyn with a bespoke eternity ring for her 40th birthday. Carolyn’s engagement and wedding ring set has unusual apex profiles so we decided that the best way to surprise Carolyn was with our Commission in a Box service. Carolyn was delighted with the design sketches and the couple came to the studio together to progress with the design. To mimic the profile of Carolyn’s engagement and wedding set the eternity ring is profiled at the back and sides and becomes rounded at the front to accommodate five gemstones. As Carolyn’s engagement ring features a princess cut diamond, she wanted to incorporate the same cut of gemstone into her eternity ring. She loved Matthew’s idea of incorporating birthstones to represent each member of their family so they went ahead with a princess cut tanzanite, two round amethysts and two princess cut London blue topaz. The beautifully coloured gemstones have been invisibly set in palladium which has been given a polished finish to complete Carolyn’s unique set of rings.
