Kate's platinum and diamond vintage style engagement ring

Kate and Jonathan visited the studio to design Kate’s engagement ring and their wedding rings all together. Kate was lucky enough to have an amazing inherited 1.86ct diamond to use in the design of her engagement ring and wanted a vintage inspired halo ring. The central diamond is held in a four claw setting which sits in the centre of the halo plate. The plate features eighteen round brilliant cut diamonds that are thread and grain set with a mill grain edge, which really emphasises the vintage feel of the ring. Kate had a lovely pair of baguette diamonds and these are invisibly set into the shoulders which give the ring a slight Art Deco twist. Kate was inspired by engagement rings with intricate detail on the side, however as she wanted to have a straight wedding band she decided on delicate floral engraving instead.
