Jessie's diamond, green sapphire and ruby engagement ring

Jason and Jessie wanted to design a bespoke ring that was delicate and had an asymmetric quality. The shaping was very important to them both and wanted the graduation of stone sizes to be mirrored in the ring. The central round brilliant cut diamond (0.06 cts) is invisibly set into the metal and Jessie did not want the stone or setting to protrude too high from the ring. After originally discussing a blue/green tourmaline as one of the shoulder stones, the size of the stone in the design would not be able to have the saturation of colour that Jessie and Jason were after, so they opted for a green sapphire instead, which is more durable. A 1.5mm round ruby (0.02cts) and a 1.35mm round green sapphire (0.01cts) are invisibly set in the palladium tear drop shaped curl. The cool colour of the palladium helps the coloured stones to stand out.
