Avril's sapphire and diamond dress ring
Andy wanted to commission a special dress ring for Avril to celebrate her 40th birthday. The couple visited the studio together and Avril brought along a beautiful sapphire that was given to her by her mother, as well as some of her own diamonds. We curated a number of different stone layouts for the couple to choose from and they decided upon a formation which showcased all of the gemstones beautifully. At the centre of the design is Avril’s 1.02ct oval cut sapphire which has a modern side only setting. Two princess cut H-I SI1-2 diamonds have been rub over set either side of the central stone as well as ten round brilliant cut diamonds which have been pave set into each shoulder. The striking design has been crafted from the couple’s own gold as well as some new 18 carat yellow gold.
