Jane's Fairtrade 9 carat white gold dress ring with Sri Lankan sapphires
Jane went to Sri Lanka and sourced some beautiful sapphires and spinel that she brought back with her to put into beautiful bespoke jewellery. Jane wanted to create a dramatic dress ring with an oval pink sapphire (total weight 1.73ct), a pale blue oval blue sapphire (total weight 0.43ct) and a oval blue spinel (total weight 0.31ct). Jane loved the asymmetric rings she had seen on our website and wanted to create something unique that would let the stones shine. Jane did not want the stones to spread too far across her finger so the composition of the stones became quite asymmetric and as though they had fallen into place. It was very important to Jane to have Fairtrade metal and she loved the creaminess of 9 carat white gold and thought the pin end finish would work perfectly. The settings have a satin finish which enhances the sparkle of the coloured gemstones.
