Valerie's yellow gold and platinum ring with sapphires and diamonds
Valerie brought a collection of jewellery into the studio including a ring of her own as well her late mother’s ring and her grandmother’s ring. She wanted to combine all three pieces to make one truly spectacular and deeply sentimental ring. The beautiful sapphire and diamond cluster has been kept from one of the original rings to maintain an antique feel. Yellow gold from the rings was melted down to make the shank while new platinum has been added to the shoulders and set with diamonds. The ring has been given a polished finish to highlight the sparkle of the sapphire and all twenty six diamonds.
