Aline's 9 carat white gold and 0.18ct diamond engagement ring
Aline’s horse Oli was her pride and joy and she planned to bring him along when she emigrated to America to begin an equine internship. Aline and her partner Sam mapped out the journey from the UK to their new home in America and the couple planned to stop in Switzerland to take in the rural beauty and mountainous peaks of the beautiful country. Sam thought this would be an idyllic proposal spot and he had an idea for the perfect ring. He got in touch with Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery to see if we could melt some of Oli’s hair into the metal of a bespoke engagement ring to serve as a constant reminder of the special trip. 9 carat white gold was melted down with the horse hair to create the solitaire engagement ring, which although classic in design, is extraordinary in significance.
