Naomi's 0.47ct sapphire and diamond engagement ring
Oliver wanted to make sure Naomi's birthday was unforgettable by presenting her with a bespoke engagement ring. He knew he wanted a sapphire engagement ring accompanied by diamonds, telling us that he 'wanted Naomi to have the ring of her dreams'. There were several designs Oliver liked from our website and he was particularly drawn to asymmetric shapes and graduating stones. With all of Oliver's ideas and inspirations in mind, this striking engagement ring was designed and then handmade by our goldsmiths. At the centre of the engagement ring is a 4.5mm 0.47ct ceylon sapphire. The vibrant blue stone is held in a compass claw setting as Oliver had a romantic treasure hunt proposal planned. Graduating diamonds have been set in one shoulder of the band to add extra sparkle and to accentuate the blue sapphire. This side of the band is straight so that it can sit beside a flat wedding band in the future. To complete the design Oliver chose to have one side of the band with a satin finish while the rest of the metal has been polished to enhance the sparkle of the sapphire and diamonds.
