Commissioned wedding bands in platinum with a combination of polished and satinised finish.
Alison's platinum wedding ring was designed to compliment but not out-sparkle her lovely engagement ring. We simply invisibly set a 2mm brilliant cut H SI diamond one side of the band and a 2mm brilliant cut heat-treated sky blue diamond the other, connecting them with an engraved line. The ring can then be worn a number of ways: with the blue heat-treated diamond on show; with the white diamonds on show; or just the engraved line. Andrew had a simple 5mm wide, 18ct white gold wedding ring with a softened courting profile. The treatment of this diamond is a special process using state of the art technology to produce this beautiful and permanent colour change. Natural coloured diamonds like this would cost many thousands of pounds so this new technology makes this ring within reach! The treatment means that the ring must not be heated up to very high temperatures (eg by a jeweller during resizing of the ring) or cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner so special care needs to be taken when resizing this ring in the future and the stone must be carefully removed and re-set during any future resizing work.
