Olga's sentimental 9 carat white gold and diamond engagement ring
Dan and his mum came to our Hertfordshire studio during an unplanned trip to the countryside and ending up having a consultation with one of our designers about commissioning an engagement ring for Olga. Dan's mum said that he could use the diamonds from her engagement ring and Dan loved the idea of adding extra sentimental value. We built the design around the family stones and set the biggest (4mm) brilliant cut diamond into a pear shaped setting to give the look of a pear shaped diamond. This is a technique used a lot in Victorian jewellery and helped to create a a focal point for Olga's ring.The smaller 2.7mm diamonds have each been set into a curl either side of the peal shape to add extra fluidity to the design, while the base of the ring has been kept straight to ensure that Olga can wear a wedding band in the future.
