Maureen's Ceylon sapphire and diamond dress ring

When we re-designed Sabrina's ring she had a couple of rectangular diamonds left over and she wanted her Grandma Maureen to be able to wear them. Maureen had always loved the colour of Ceylon sapphires so this was the perfect opportunity to commission a design that incorporated the vibrant blue stone. We showed her a variety of Ceylon sapphires and she fell in love with this oval beauty. We set the diamonds into tapering palladium settings so that there is a graduation in size from the oval in the centre to the slim band of the ring whilst also giving the piece an Art Deco feel. The slim yellow gold band is made from another ring that she didn't wear. We undercut the oval setting so that Maureen can wear this new ring next to her wedding ring.
