Anniek's mixed metal and diamond engagement ring
James and Anniek were looking to create an engagement ring re-using a stunning antique Italian ring that had been passed down through Jame’s family. The original ring was very large and incorporated strong curved shaping around the beautiful diamonds. Anniek was tending towards a more modern linear style, but they both wanted to honour the history of the piece within the new design. To show off the brilliant cut diamond to its best, we decided to set it in this open tipped style, creating a wonderful view of this beautiful stone. We used the 9ct white gold to set the diamond and contrasted this with the 9ct yellow gold in the band to reflect the original yellow gold ring. The side detail in the shoulders of the ring mimic's the sweeping detail whilst being a contemporary and practical ring for Anniek and James to enjoy forever.
