Imogen's dormouse inspired sterling silver ring with an Opal.
Imogen wanted us to design a unique one off dress ring, using a beautiful oval cabochon cut opal her friends had bought as birthday present. After sitting with our designer Tom and discussing all of her ideas for her unique ring, Tom and Imogen came up with this unique design inspired by a dormouse holding a grain of rice, as Imogen had said that she wanted the ring to remind her of her daughter, who she calls ‘her little dormouse’. In place of the grain of rice that the dormouse was holding, is a stunning oval cabochon cut opal which has been all around set for security and to enhance the design. Our expert goldsmith Chung Shan hand sculpted the dormouse shape out of silver, giving it a three dimensional form and animated character. The rich vibrancy of colour in the Opal is perfectly complemented by the soft tones of the Sterling Silver, to make this a wonderful bespoke piece that can be enjoyed and cherished.
