Shooting star inspired 1.34ct natural brown diamond, palladium and 9 carat rose gold ring
Harriet Kelsall saw this stunning natural deep chocolate brown diamond whilst on a diamond buying trip and fell in love with it. On the way home, she designed this ring in her head inspired by shooting stars, comets and meteors. She couldn't wait to draw the design out when she got back and began to sketch it on the plane! The central 1.34ct diamond has VS1 clarity and is IGI certificated. It has been beautifully cut and scintillates with warm fiery sparkles as it moves and is intricately “grain” set in a hand faceted 9 carat rose gold surround which has been shaped like a star. The 9 carat rose gold colour sets the central diamond off to perfection and contrasts with the cool palladium band which include six fully cut white brilliant cut H-G SI-VS diamonds - these have been set in tiny star shapes to continue the astronomy theme. The contrast of the white diamonds winking in the white palladium band and the warm fiery colours of the central section works beautifully. The side view of this ring has been well thought out so that the wearer can enjoy a great view of the tip of the main diamond and the 3 splits in the band shoulders with the faceted edge of the rose gold setting. The diamonds total 1.44ct.
